La Rosa de los Vientos y una Carta de Amor

A personal work I created for my daughter Ana and her partner David when they moved out and began their flight together. The work came with a love letter from a mother to her children when they leave home. That is how “La Rosa de los Vientos y una Carta de Amor” was born:

“My daughter, my son: may the winds always be in your favour along your way. May you never lose your bearings and may you always find North. May you always keep your feet on the ground and your head in the sky. May you find balance and purpose. I would spare you every storm in the world, but I know you will learn valuable lessons from them. Never forget your roots, but grow your own garden. Treasure every moment you can, the kind that stay imprinted on your eyes until the last day you close them. May you always have guidance and never lose your way back home, back to yourself. And rest assured that, whichever path you choose, your mother will always be here. Watching over you without interfering. Protecting you without controlling. And life after life we will meet again, because I choose you and would choose you for all eternity.”
