Es Caló de Sant Agustí, a commissioned work by Eva Jurado

Commission a work

Unique commissioned works, between water and light.

Request a first conversation

Eva's work revolves around water: oceans, seas, coves and shorelines where light reaches into the depths. Many commissions begin with a real place to which there is a deep connection. Others are born of a dreamed-of place, or of complete trust in the artist's creative freedom.

Everything begins with a dialogue. Eva listens, draws out the essence of what is entrusted to her and carries it into the work, capturing emotion through light and through the crystallisation of the resin. So a piece is born that did not exist before that encounter and will never exist again. No work is ever editioned or reproduced, and each one is delivered with its certificate of authorship.

The process

  1. The first conversation

A meeting with Eva by phone, by video call or in person, at her studio in El Vendrell. It is an unhurried dialogue. The person commissioning the work shares what moves them, and Eva also gives careful attention to the space that will receive it: its scale, its light, its interior design.

  2. The sketch

From that exchange comes the first sketch, in pencil or charcoal, and with it opens a space of creative freedom in which she gives shape to the composition, the format and the palette.

  3. The creation

Once the sketch is settled, Eva begins the work in her studio and makes it from start to finish with her own hands. Its progress can be followed through images, or the surprise can be saved for the day of delivery.

  4. The delivery

The work can be collected from the studio or shipped anywhere in the world with specialist fine-art transport. When the project requires it, installation is also arranged.

Materials

The works are made on handcrafted okoume wood canvases mounted on fir stretchers. Eva works with resins of great hardness and gloss, chosen for their high quality, durability and resistance. The sculptural, three-dimensional elements are made with rock pastes and acrylic resins, quartz sands and natural elements, set within the composition itself, preserving their vividness, depth and light over the years.

If desired, the work can encapsulate for ever something personal, or the ashes of a loved one, integrated into the artistic composition itself.

The pieces are delivered ready to hang and, despite their scale, with a modest weight that allows them to be installed on any wall.

Timeline

Each work requires multiple processes and curing times, which is why every work is created with patience, attention to every detail and exclusivity.

Commissions are undertaken in order of reservation. Production of the works reserved now is already scheduled into the 2027 calendar.

Once the first meeting has taken place, the studio sends a proposal with the expected delivery dates and the commission quote.

In their words…

I commissioned a work with the ashes of my dogs, Chica and Milo, and it turned out beautifully. Eva managed to give them their beach, their refuge and their world. The process was close, empathetic and full of affection, turning pain into happiness.
Inma
The peace it gives me to see, every morning, a ray of sunlight come into my living room and light up my sea... I swear, Eva, pure happiness.
Noe
From the moment I saw Eva's works I felt a connection with the sea, even though its depths frighten me. Having Hogar Azul at home, beside our table, is a gift that brings us together as a family.
