In 2022 and 2023 I lived through a revolution on every level. I had never even dreamt that a technique I invented, fusing resin with rock textures, would have such an impact and be in demand from so many places around the world. Throughout those years I was constantly amazed to have masterclasses and commissions with waiting lists, and to travel thousands of kilometres with Javi, sharing what had once been born in my little refuge. And I wanted to make a work that expressed everything I was feeling. I thought I would call it “The Golden Years”. As soon as I had finished the first layer, Javi came by my studio and exclaimed: “WOW!! It’s wild!!” And so its name stayed: “Salvaje”. It went on to become a work that has inspired hundreds of people and other clients, and I know that part of that came from the astonishing energy of those years…
