Cynthia was the first person to cross Spain to take classes with me. Her sweetness, authenticity and warmth captivated me. She overflowed with a wild passion for the Sea and for her beloved Menorca. That is where she married Jesús, on “their island”, where they had met. She spoke to me passionately about the freedom they felt in the Sea, about those impossible colours, the vibrant turquoise waters, the secret coves and what they felt on discovering them. Their wedding was to take place facing the Sea, and flowers were a symbol of purity that she adored. That is how I saw a composition in which their two favourite coves merged, creating a new one just for them that would express their whole love story… I loved creating “La Flor del Océano” for them and giving it to her on their wedding day…
